We had a de-pollution filter warning last week, and the car went into limp home mode. My wife got it to the Garage, they performed a diagnostic/system reset and all seemed back to normal (£49).
5. Dead SRS Computer Battery Backup. The SRS computer needs a backup battery to retain the data it receives. This battery continues working even when the vehicle is off. If the battery is low on power or dead, it can cause the SRS light to go on. The only way to repair this situation is to install a new battery.
1. Air doser valve leaked oil which dripped on to the alternator. The air doser valve controls air flow through the intercooler and the casing is 2 plastic sections but the joint can leak oil carried in the air flow from the turbo. Sealant may provide a temporary fix but in the end we had to fit a new one. This is how to change the clock in the dashboard of a Citroen C4. This is a 2008 model, but as long as you have got the same radio it should work for you. Wonder if damp has got into a connector or module somewhere. Your best bet for this would be joining a citroen forum. See if there are any known issues. Jag XFs have a known problem where the windscreen washer pump leaks and the water tracks down to the main control unit. Can cause all sorts of issues. Mine had the exact same symptoms AA man disconnected battery when attaching charging cable to the +tve, I had also disconnected and reconnected the battery earlier in quick succession before the AA man got there and the key fob locked the doors fine before the AA man came along.
The stock clock in the car also resets every time car is turned off. I first thought it might be a previous faulty stereo installation but now I realize the dome lights will also turn off when car is turned off (Like right the way) and power locks do not work either when car is turned off.
