Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. The Canon EOS R was bundled with this lens at launch, but that 'kit lens' designation belies how good this optic really is. The first zoom, and the first stabilized lens, for the RF mount, it's a great all-round performer.
The sharpness tests for this review were carried out using a real-world subject rather than a test chart. The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens was attached to a Canon EOS R body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Self-timer mode was activated. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.I own this lens on my EOS R and I can confidently say it's sharper than the EF 24-105 f/4L II IS USM and even the 24-70 f/2.8L II USMperhaps I'm out of my mind, perhaps I have a good copyperhaps the internet is looking to trash on the EOS R at any chance it can get.
