View attachment 102382. The difference in overall height is irrelevant, it’s the gap between the top of the tyre and the bottom of the wheel arch that is. The gap between the GTE is larger than the GTD which in turn is larger then the GTI. It makes a big visual difference, and the GTE looks like it’s on stilts in comparison.
The GTI needs to be worked hard to deliver the goods, while the GTD gets going with more vigour and needs nothing more than a brush of the accelerator to gather pace. It runs out of puff a lot
